Well, not really dragged in, Reader. It's more like I fostered 3 kittens and fell heads over heels in love. After my genuinely cat-astrophic attempt at online kitten dating, Yogi Bear and I finally found our little girl. This time, instead of swiping right, I went with what I know and trust: a reputable animal rescue organization that prioritizes the animals' welfare. I brought Minnie home as a foster for the CT Humane Society and immediately fell in love. I officially adopted this tiny, majestic new family member on Saturday. Her official name is Minerva, which means "intelligent" or "wise"—similar to the Roman goddess Minerva, who was often associated with the owl, a symbol of wisdom! She answers to Minnie. I named her after my grandmother. (Don't let my grand-nieces know because they think she's named after Minnie Mouse! 😻) And let me tell you, Minnie is purr-fection. She is playful, sweet and loving. Plus, Minnie and Yogi are becoming fast friends. Fills my heart with joy! My kitten saga isn't quite over yet as I have another kitten up my sleeve. More to come! ~ Cathy "Cat" and Yogi Bear
